FEEDING OF KARI IMPROVED KIENYEJI CHICKEN:

Now, there is no simple way to outline feeding of improved kienyeji chicken, but if you do intend to use commercial feeds, you may follow this guide:
day 1 - 8 wks Feed them chick mash,
8 wks - 19 wks Feed them on grower mash,
19 weeks onwards feed them layer mash.

Caution however needs to be applied here however because commercial feeds do not offer your chicken the best nutritional needs and one is encouraged to consider using homemade feed options such as maize, millet, sukumawiki an dother vegetables and generally kitchen waste and also, where possible, hydroponically grown barley, etc. Herein attached is the photo of recommended feed quantity you are supposed to fee your chicken as per KARI guidelines

    Hi,
