What does that mean to farmers
1)Farmers who depends on rain fed will be on deady crisis.
2)Farmers using irrigation and greenhouses will smile to the bank
3)Livestock will be affected most.
To kenyans

1) High cost of food
2)Starvation and hunger.
3)no work for those working in farms
What can we do to mitigate this factors now and in the future
1. Invest in irrigation and dont rely on rainfed farming
2.Use irrigation systems which are water saving and cost effective
3.Store enough fodder for your livestock eg silage or hay
4.Grow african indigenous crops like cassava and sweetpotatoes towards dry season they tolerate drought.
5.Store water during rainy season in dams or tanks
6.Use water conservation methods in farming like mulching and cover crops.
7.Recycle or reuse water eg water from fish ponds to be used in irrigation.
8.Use water sparingly at home.
9.Plant more trees
Be creative and use your own innovations depending on your capital.location and availability of materials to keep moving.
