World record crops yields are being achieved in..../...

In a village in India's poorest state, Bihar, farmers are growing world record amounts of rice – with no GM, and no herbicide. Is this one solution to world food shortages?

"World record crops yields are being achieved in India's poorest state and it's not because of GMOs. Farmers are using an organic method called SRI - a system of root intensification. These super yields are the result of growing with farmyard manure and not much else. Only half as many seeds are needed, no synthetic fertilizers and no herbicides or pesticides. Isn't it remarkable that super yields can be obtained without GMOs and toxic inputs? The future is ORGANIC. Our health and the health of our planet depend on it."
