mushroom farming training.

Mushroom production is currently valued at KSh 340 million. Large scale producers account for over 95% all over Kenya most of which is button. Shitake, though not common in Kenya, is globally rated second after button. Oyster mushroom production is readily picking up because it is easy to grow, has higher yields and has more nutritional value than button.  Due to its lower cost of production and high yielding capacity it presents a good opportunity for small to middle scale farmers.

Mushroom industry in Kenya has a well established private sector investment with large scale commercial farms like Agridutt Ltd, Rift valley mushrooms, online mushrooms, Devani and Kanchan mushrooms. Key exporting companies do not have out growers.
Kenya produces 500 tons per annum (of which 476 tons being button) against an annual demand of 1200 tons both in hotels and home consumption.
with this huge demand for mushroom we have organized a training at our Dagoretti farm which we will cover practical training and demos on the 9th  of jully 2016 charges will be 2500 paid to till number 630499 to register send your name to 0733912112. or inbox.

  1. Each and every detail is precisely described. A few months ago, bought shiitake mushroom logs from Agrinoon (Fujian) for my small business and it went well. It was a little bit tough for me initially to grow this type of mushroom but at last, we know hard work pays off well. After understanding your content and description, I’m totally inspired. I will definitely try ahead. I have not got such an informative blog anywhere related to shiitake mushroom log.
